And We’re Off

…like a herd of turtles.

We’ll be spending time with family in Michigan for the next 2 weeks.

My husband is from the boonies a tiny rural town where there are more cows than people.  We’ll be staying with his parents, and they do not have a computer or Internet connection.  Can. you. believe???

If we want to get to a store or a library, we’ll have to plan an expedition!

But there’s something to be said for the nice, quiet, peaceful life… except for the sound of Bambi’s mama being shot. 8)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given… and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Oh, and look for us on Good Morning America.  We might be the latest family to get kicked off the plane for disturbing the peace!

  1. I will pray for you as you travel! That gracious people would surround you on the plane and that the remote location would bring peace and rest to you & your family!

    Have a very Merry Christmas!

  2. Have a safe trip! I grew up in Nebraska so I know all about the “more cows than people” thing. There were only 40 people in my graduating class in high school if you can believe it.

However, my parents now live in South Dakota (not much different than Nebraska) and they DO have Internet, at least.

  3. Hey there girl! Wow that link is so sad! I would have been so upset if they turned around and escorted me and Abbs off! I will pray your trip is smooth with no hic-ups! Merry Christmas to you and your sweet family!!!!!
